SDG Action &
Learning Drive
A year-round programme that runs every Saturday inside partner schools — building awareness, creativity, and civic responsibility through the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. No syllabus change. Zero disruption.
Schools prepare students for exams.
Not for the world.
"Compassion does not need to be taught — it only needs a system to awaken it."
— SPP Programme Document, Vighneshwara Foundation
Modern schooling functions as an exam factory. We drill mathematics and science, yet we leave the development of humanity entirely to chance.
The SDG Action & Learning Drive emerged not from a rulebook — but from a realisation that children were missing a critical piece: the ability to notice the world around them.
SPP flows underneath the regular school timetable — one Saturday per month, four structured activities, one SDG at a time. The school continues as it is on the surface. Something new grows underneath.
A four-step cycle that turns
lessons into habits.
Every month follows the same four-Saturday structure. This repetition lets the method disappear — students focus only on the content.
Teachers open the month not with a lecture — but with stories. The village well, the sanitation worker, the local trees. Global SDGs meet local realities.
Classrooms become creative spaces. Students process their awareness through art, design, and writing. No ranking. No fear of being wrong.
Students enter their neighbourhoods to conduct simple surveys — asking elders questions, noticing patterns. Data becomes community truth.
Plantation drives, cleanliness actions, dialogues with officials. No politics. No slogans. Only awareness — and a quiet sense of agency.
Twelve months. Twelve SDGs.
One deep rhythm.
Each goal is explored slowly and practically — one month at a time. Click any card to learn more about that SDG module.
Over 12 months, a culture
of care takes root.
Observant · Sensitive · Responsible · Engaged · Connected
What schools are saying
about SALD.
Real voices from principals, teachers, and coordinators at our partner schools across Uttar Pradesh.
"Pehle bachche sirf exam ke liye padhte the. SALD ke baad unhe duniya dikhne lagi. Ek student ne khud gaon mein paani ki samasya pe survey kiya — humein bahut garv hua."
"The Saturday programme gave my students a voice. A girl who never spoke in class stood up and spoke to the gram panchayat about cleanliness. That was the moment I knew this works."
"Hamein darr tha ki syllabus pe asar padega. Lekin bilkul nahi hua. Ulta bacchon ka dhyan padhne mein bhi badha. Har Saturday ek naya josh hota hai school mein."
